Crops and farming
Turn one seed into a repeatable supply of ingredients.
The crop cycle
- Choose a crop available at your level in the seed pouch.
- Select an empty Sunpetal field and plant one unit of that crop.
- Water it once to start growth.
- Let the timer finish. You can explore or leave the game while it grows.
- Collect the harvest when you have room in your barn.
Each harvest produces two units. Crops also serve as their own seeds, so saving one lets you keep planting. Harvest XP is separate from item quantity and from phase reward activity.
Crop levels and base timers
| Crop | Level | Growth after watering | Harvest XP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wheat | 1 | 2 min | 8 |
| Rice | 1 | 5 min | 14 |
| Carrot | 2 | 10 min | 20 |
| Turnip | 3 | 7 min | 16 |
| Corn | 5 | 15 min | 26 |
| Dew Herb | 7 | 45 min | 60 |
| Tomato | 8 | 30 min | 40 |
| Strawberry | 10 | 1 h | 70 |
| Sugarcane | 12 | 1.5 h | 100 |
| Cotton | 14 | 2 h | 130 |
| Pumpkin | 18 | 4 h | 180 |
| Moonflower | 24 | 6 h | 260 |
These are base growth times on Sunpetal. A valid crop booster can change a qualifying timer; its item description explains when the effect applies.
Choose crops for your next return
Use short crops when you are staying in the game and longer crops before a break. Start with what your current quest, recipe, or order needs. Planting the longest crop available is not automatically the most useful choice.
A full barn prevents collection. It does not discard the waiting harvest. Cook, deliver, move goods through the available systems, or expand storage before collecting.
If you run out of a crop
Backpack offers seed recovery for an unlocked crop when none remains in your account supply. It checks your island records and Inbox, has a 30-minute cooldown for that crop, and grants a bound recovery seed.
Recovery does not award XP or phase activity. Its first harvest cannot create reward-eligible activity. Keeping a seed from an ordinary harvest is the better long-term routine.
